WORK LIFE BALANCE WORKSHOPS
An organisation’s
productivity and profitability is largely dependent upon the mental,
physical and emotional wellbeing of its workforce. Most people rank work
life balance as highly important when seeking a new role. Whilst many
organisations are now focused on creating more flexible workplaces, research
tells us we still have a long way to go in assisting people to achieve the
balance they desire.
Our workshops are designed to help people clarify what balance means to them
and to assist them in creating manageable and lasting change that will have
an impact on their happiness.
WORKSHOP FORMAT - ONE HOUR OR HALF
DAY
One Hour Talk 'Life in Balance - Making The Most of Each Day' Our one
hour talk is delivered to groups of up to 100. The focus is on encouraging
your team to review their commitments (both professionally and personally)
and prioritise the things that matter. Kate discusses ways to get past the
barriers including changing the way you think and practical time management
tools. Prior to finalising your talk, she will speak to you about your team's key issues - you may like to include tips for improving
motivation at work or extend the focus on time or stress management.
Half Day Workshop 'Life in Balance - Making The Most of Each Day '
Kate James presents a half day work life balance workshop designed to revives participants' interest in pursuing both personal and
professional satisfaction. Through activities and discussion that focus on
the individual, Kate will
encourage your employees to open the door on the possibility that work life
balance can be significantly improved by making small, achievable changes.
This
highly interactive session is offered to groups of between 8 and
20 participants. The program allows time
for discussion about concepts so that participants can fully engage with and
understand the material.

‘Kate, just a note to say a big thank you for the talk last night. The
feedback was very positive and I think that we all took something away from
it. Your style is great, with just the right balance of relaxed delivery
without diminishing the importance of the material, and engaged the group
throughout. I hope we can work together in the future.’ Brian Peters, Competency Executive, Terra Firma

'Thank you for a very interesting and informative session you conducted
at CitiPower/Powercor today. Work life balance sometimes seems a term that
is quite hard to define, but you prompted lots of thought-starters for me.
One thing I found vital - recognition that the balance can and does change
frequently, depending on issues that are happening in either my work or
private life. I hadn't truly realised that before now. Thank you for putting
so much of yourself into the presentation - it makes it so much more
interesting.'

'Whether speaking one on one with clients
or addressing large audiences, Kate speaks eloquently and with warmth,
bringing simplicity to some of life’s most daunting questions. Earlier this
year, Kate addressed a Public Relations Institute of Australia event on the
subject of career rejuvenation. Nearly six months later, I still have total
recall of her main message which I have shared enthusiastically with friends
and colleagues alike. Her personal reflections, interspersed with the wisdom
of professional practice as a career coach were delivered in a way that the
audience related to easily, enabling us to implement real change in our
lives.' Christina Hickie, Consultant, Fenton Communications
