WORK LIFE BALANCE
WORKSHOPS
An organisation’s productivity and profitability is largely
dependent upon the mental, physical and emotional wellbeing of its
workforce. Most people rank work life balance as highly important
when seeking a new role. Whilst many organisations are now
focused on creating more flexible workplaces, research tells us we
still have a long way to go in assisting people to achieve the
balance they desire.
Our work life balance workshops are designed to help people clarify
what balance means to them and assist them in creating manageable
and lasting change that will have an impact on their happiness.
Recent research coming out of the US tells us that happy people are
more engaged with their work, build better relationships with
colleagues and clients, have less sick days and remain in a role
longer. Our focus is on helping your employees understand that
happiness is accessible and it can often be as simple as learning to
make the most of each day.
'Kate and the Total Balance Group have been an integral part of
our health and wellness program within Aviva. Sessions including
Managing Stress, Meditation and Work Life Balance have engaged our
employees and created an awareness and understanding into the
importance of maintaining one’s health, both mentally and
physically. Kate’s warm and understanding nature combined with her
passion and enthusiasm for these topics has ensured a continued
successful program for our employees.' Cliodhna Coughlan, HR
Learning & Development, Aviva Australia

‘The half day work life balance workshop was a great way to end our
conference. Everyone agreed that it was one of the most enjoyable
sessions of the two days. We took away some practical tips about how
to improve our balance. Kate made us all feel as though it would be
possible to create even some small degrees of change.’

'Thank you for a very interesting and informative session you
conducted at CitiPower/Powercor today. Work life balance sometimes
seems a term that is quite hard to define, but you prompted lots of
thought-starters for me. One thing I found vital - recognition that
the balance can and does change frequently, depending on issues that
are happening in either my work or private life. I hadn't truly
realised that before now. Thank you for putting so much of yourself
into the presentation - it makes it so much more interesting.' Executive
Assistant to General Manager Human Resources & Corporate Affairs,

‘Kate, just a note to say a big thank you for the talk last
night. The feedback was very positive and I think that we all took
something away from it. Your style is great, with just the right
balance of relaxed delivery without diminishing the importance of
the material, and engaged the group throughout. I hope we can work
together in the future.’ Brian Peters, Competency
Executive, Terra Firma
