Kate James – Mindfulness Speaker

Kate James is a mindfulness speaker based in Melbourne, Australia. Teaching a mainstream form of meditation and mindfulness since 2002 and with over 60,000 followers and 4 million plays on the Insight Timer meditation app, Kate is considered to be one of Melbourne’s leading facilitators of corporate mindfulness and building resilience workshops.

In her engaging and interactive corporate mindfulness workshops, participants learn about integrating the principles of mindfulness into work and life in practical ways. In her building resilience workshops, Kate teaches the three pillars of resilience and the practical steps to build resilience in the everyday.

Kate facilitates both in-person and online workshops for corporate groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Kate James

Kate is described as an authentic, warm and down-to-earth speaker. In her mindfulness and resilience keynotes and workshops, she shares the latest research about mindfulness, Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and how the science can be integrated into life in practical ways. CORPORATE MINDFULNESS & BUILDING RESILIENCE WORKSHOPS

#1 – Five Principles of Mindful Living

45 minutes to 90 minutes in duration. Includes a brief guided meditation and Q&A.

Content:

  • Understand the principles and benefits of mindfulness and how these principles can be used to reduce stress, cope with uncertainty and improve resilience and wellbeing.
  • Learn to be mindful of thoughts and feelings and overcome habitual patterns of negative thinking and worry.
  • Become aware of behaviours that enhance or inhibit wellbeing.
  • Understand the benefits of compassion self-compassion and how these principles improve relationships. Content is based on the research of Dr Kristen Neff.
  • Making plans mindfully. Learn to align to your personal values, strengths and your life purpose.

#2 – Three Pillars of Resilience

45 minutes to 90 minutes in duration. Introduces twelve steps to build resilience and Q&A.

Content:

Resilient people have the ability to cope with life’s challenges when they’re in the midst of those challenges and to bounce back after challenges. They are able to keep showing up in the face of stress, anxiety or grief.

We don’t need to experience significant or ongoing adversity in order to build resilience. It’s a trait we can all build, and a good time to start building it is when everything is smooth sailing.

In this engaging building resilience workshop, Kate will share the three pillars of resilience and the twelve practical steps to build resilience in your everyday.

#3 – Introduction to Mindfulness

45 minutes to 60 minutes in duration. 5 x weekly or fortnightly workshops. Each session includes Includes a brief guided meditation and Q&A.

Content:

  1. Understand the principles and benefits of mindfulness and how these principles can be used to reduce stress, cope with uncertainty and improve resilience and wellbeing.
  2. Learn to be mindful of thoughts and feelings and overcome habitual patterns of negative thinking and worry.
